Andrew Tate: Viral TikTok Sensation

If you’ve used TikTok recently, you’ve probably heard of Andrew Tate—one of the platform’s most contentious users.

The controversial TikToker began turning heads during his time as a professional kickboxer; he holds four champion titles. Tate has dual citizenship in America, and the U.K., but now resides in Romania. He is an entrepreneur with several revenue streams, including his online program Hustlers University 2.0, a webcam modeling business, and podcasts to name a few.

Andrew Tate’s Humble Beginnings

Andrew Tate was born in Chicago, IL, on either December 1, 1986 (according to a video where he says this) or December 14, 1986 (according to his official website). Either way, he’s a 35-year-old Sagitarrius with millions, but his journey did not begin that way.

Tate’s late father, Emory Tate Jr., was an Air Force pilot who played chess professionally and won several competitions, including the US Armed Forces Championship. As a result, Tate began playing chess at an early age and eventually won the state championship in Indiana. His father has an Elo rating of 2500, while Andrew’s rating is around 1800. He learned strategy and discipline at a young age.

Their parents eventually divorced due to differences. Andrew’s mother relocated him and his siblings, Tristan and Janine, to England. Although his dad was successful, the children grew up with little money available to them. One of Andrew’s first jobs involved hauling crates of frozen fish. From 2009 onward, he started a professional kickboxing career, competing in the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. His first victory was the International Sport Karate Association’s English light cruiserweight crown. He went on to win many other awards, including the Enfusion Live Championship.

How did Andrew Tate become so popular?

Andrew Tate gained attention outside of sports when he appeared on Big Brother in the UK’s 2017 season. However, Tate’s appearance on the reality series ended quickly after he was removed, possibly due to a video showing him using a belt to strike a woman. There are other theories as to why he was removed, but Big Brother didn’t release that information.

Also in 2017, he made several comments regarding sexual assault and harassment on his official Twitter account, which was later suspended for offensive content. One tweet said:

“Sexual harassment is disgusting and inexcusable. However, a man looking at you or whistling at you, or asking your name is not harassment. Women have been trading sex for opportunities for a long time. Some did this. They were not abused. If you put yourself in a position to be raped, you have to take some responsibility.”

Tate’s decision to challenge Jake Paul to a fight worth 2.5 million dollars in 2020 has drawn attention, among other remarks. On The Fellas podcast, Tate stated:

“I would still kick Jake Paul’s ass. I’m not a washed-up UFC fighter and I’m not smaller than him. I’d kick his ass and if he wants to fight, I’ll fight him any fucking day […] Him fighting me is a big risk for him, he knows that. That’s the difference between me and everybody else he’s fought. I’m not some desperate guy at the end of his career who needs the money.”

Despite Tate’s claims, Jake Paul denied knowing the influencer at a recent news appearance.

Tate currently manages Hustlers University 2.0, an online school on “contemporary wealth building” with information on how to build a passive income. He has also been interviewed on many podcasts and produces content on social media platforms.

He became one of the most-watched faces on TikTok after his followers of Hustlers University 2.0 shared his videos on the popular streaming platform. Then, videos of him being interviewed on different podcasts quickly became popular. Most of his videos show him speaking about how to be a high-value man, what he thinks about success, and how he views women. His videos on TikTok have received more than 7 billion views overall, even though he does not have his own verified account.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Andrew Tate has a $20 million net worth he’s earned from kickboxing and his various businesses. However, he’s mentioned on multiple occasions his net worth is far larger than this figure. He gives different dollar amounts each time, but the largest claim he’s made has been that he is a trillionaire.

Andrew Tate’s Hustlers Take Over TikTok

As previously mentioned, Andrew Tate founded Hustlers University 2.0 to instruct individuals on how to generate wealth. He offers eighteen different money-making solutions.

Biaheza, a finance-related YouTuber, enrolled at the institution to explore its curriculum. He discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the school in his “My Response to Andrew Tate” video . Biaheza said the institution teaches its students how to become affiliates as one of the ways to get money. He concluded that the course is not a complete scam, but it doesn’t offer a lot of value. Members of the course won’t become experts in the provided topics.

Students of the online course specifically create TikTok accounts to advertise Hustlers University 2.0, including an affiliate link in their bios. They pull many of his videos from YouTube and numerous podcasts, including YMH, Fresh&Fit, The Fellas, and many others. His involvement in these podcasts, which received millions of views, further increased his popularity.

His followers advertise him on a mass scale and promote him even while he is asleep. It’s a genius business move. Will his followers actually gain a significant commission from sharing his content? Only time will tell.

Twitch Drama between Andrew Tate and xQc

Now, let’s get into some of the beef Andrew Tate has created with fellow influencers and social media personalities.

Tate and Twitch star xQc argued during a live stream that went viral on Twitter. Fans of the Twitch streamer xQc know how open and honest he is. The main conflict between Tate and xQc arose over their differing views on relationships and gender equality. During the stream, Tate said he would never let a woman he was with go to a club alone, which did not sit well with xQc. xQc said during the debate:

“I could rationalize [the argument] if most of the girls I’ve dated had the IQ of someone who can’t move, think or do anything, and is stuck on the pavement […] but that doesn’t make sense in the real world. You don’t park your fucking girlfriend on the pavement at the club.”

Tate, notorious for his harsh remarks, has already been banned numerous times from Twitter. The two online personalities argued about a variety of topics, primarily focusing on the subject of women and their function in romantic relationships.

Ludwig and Tate: A debate

Ludwig is a live streamer, YouTuber, podcaster, esports commentator, and competitor from the United States whose full name is Ludwig Anders Ahgren.

Ludwig spoke out over the ascent of controversial figure Andrew Tate, labeling those who have contributed to his fame as “fucking losers.” Tate received criticism from Ludwig for projecting a negative image of women’s duties in relationships with the next generation. Additionally, Ludwig didn’t agree with Adin Ross’s response to what Tate was saying on his podcast. Ludwig commented, “Adin Ross said yes to everything Andrew Tate was saying, even the sexist bullshit.” He later said, “If you follow Andrew Tate unironically, you’re a bloody loser, but I’ll save that for a mogul mail.”

The YouTuber continued to make fun of Tate’s opinions of “alpha males” by joking: “Do you really need a man to tell you how to be an alpha? This is a beta thing.” Ludwig believes Tate has been garnering so much undeserved recognition and it could be harmful. In his video, Ludwig claims that the “problem” with Tate is that he not only says “crazy shit” but also braids in fundamental and familiar life lessons that make him appear charismatic. He also thinks, “That’s also a problem because he takes advantage of viewers. Those people who look up to Tate because he’s strong and he gets women… They’re walking – I think – a bad way.”

Ludwig said in his final Mogul Mail video that he was only concerned about a future generation” and tried to “enter the discourse whenever possible,” but said he was also okay with having his beliefs on the matter contested. When anyone speaks negatively about Andrew Tate’s actions, his poseé of HU followers immediately respond and try to dismantle claims made against him. He’s built an online army that will protect him for now.

Andrew Tate’s controversial TikTok quotes

Here are some of those most debated quotes courtesy of Andrew Tate:

“Women can’t drive. If that upsets geeks like you, I don’t give a fuck. That’s what I say. If it upsets people, tough, that’s my personal experience, you are going to have to get the fuck over it.”

“I like Eastern Europe as a whole because corruption is far more accessible.”

“Any woman who is going to sit there and think it’s more important to argue with me about how she is as capable as a man at everything, as opposed to just letting me pay the bill and be pleasant, it’s not the kind of woman I want to talk to.”

“I could open a strip club, but that takes money, and I need overhead. I need money. How can I use these women to make me money?”

“Women have been exchanging sex for opportunity for a very long time. Some did this. Weren’t abused. If you put yourself in a position to be raped, you must bare some responsibility.”

“I’m not some desperate guy at the end of his career who needs the money. I would dedicate my life [to training], treat him like a professional and I would destroy him like I’ve destroyed all of the professionals I have ever fought.”

“I don’t agree with being banned, people get banned from Twitter all the time and make new profiles. I’m not inciting violence, promoting terrorism, or harassing anyone. This is censorship of free speech. I’ve never had specific tweets banned or been cautioned.”

“I highlight the differences between men and women. Does that make me a misogynist? Men and women are different creatures, right? I don’t think that one is even particularly better than the other. I think we’re different, we operate differently.”

“The way I get my points across is by exaggeration. But the points remain valid.”

“That plus my genius battle strategy we implemented in January. January 1st is when we began and I’m now the most famous man on the planet. I’m more googled than Donald Trump, Joe Biden, look it up. I’m the most googled man on the fucking planet.”

Andrew Tate has made a name for himself on TikTok in a matter of months. He has a solid fan base to back him up, yet he attracts just as much hate from other online personalities.
